Shoes, Horns, and Crossing the Street

To my morning impressions I'll add the constant honking of horns. And the art of crossing the street when no one stops for pedestrians. It's quite a skill and exciting too.

While we were waiting for some of us to change money this morning a guy grabbed Denis' shoe right off of his foot and said he'd fix it. It was a running shoe that was worn at the back end of the heel. He gave Denis a slipper to wear (doing only one shoe at a time) and proceeded to shine each one and glue new soles to the bottom while Denis walked around with one shoe and one slipper. It didn't even cost him much.

One photo is of Jillian and Stephanie buying doughnuts from a vendor. And, of course, I have to continue with the food photos. Here is lunch: my spring rolls that were quite tasty, and so was Amy's marinated tofu.
