Death Valley

Who is dumb enough to take a flying trip to Death Valley -- driving 6 hours each way for three hours there and doing it all in one day? It felt so good to run away like that, spontaneous and joyful and fun. And the wildflowers (the super bloom) were initially underwhelming, but then you start to see with different lenses. And it was beautiful. The clouds were too. Mostly the primrose that is yellow and a few of some purple flowers. If we would have had a few more hours and hiked back some wash or valley, we would have seen more, or so I am told.  It was very windy and we were at the lowest elevation in North America.
